Charlie Baughman broke his Oregon Distance Record for rigid wings on Saturday, September 4, with a six hour flight from Pine Mt to 5fivemiles NE of Middleton Idaho. The distance is 217 miles. He landed as late as possible and still be able to fold up his glider before dark. He lucked out after landing when a truck full of people, kids and dogs showed up and took him and glider to a meal, party and place to sleep.
