Wings of Kilimanjaro

kilimanjaroAndrew Forbes is one of six paraglider pilots from Australia joining the Wings of Kilimanjaro adventure. Andrew has been flying for four years and this trip enables him to combine his love of adventure travel, philanthropy and flying in a once in a lifetime experience. He is using this expedition to promote not just the charities and the climb, but also the sport of paragliding. He has been giving talks to schools in the Southern Highlands, as well as Rotary Clubs, Probus, Lions, and other community groups.

If you see Andrew on the hill – feel free to slip him a dollar or two – or go online and make a donation to the Wings of Kilimanjaro charities at www.wingsofkilimanjaro.com and search the registered pilots list for "Andrew Forbes". You can also follow preparations for his attempt by liking his page on facebook at Andrew Forbes – Wings of Kilimanjaro

Newsflash

Top Tip: Paragliders, when you top land on the south face don't stand around pumping your brakes, admiring your canopy, chatting with your mates, carefully folding it all up ... get out of the landing zone so other can land safely as well! Thank you guys.
