Code of Conduct
Following work in 2015, it became apparent to the Committee that such a code was required. They have since developed and passed a motion to adopt a 'Code of Conduct' policy that ALL PIlots need to be aware of and abide by when Flying at Bald Hill and Surrounds.

The purpose of the document is to -

1.  Outline the expected behaviour of ALL  Club Members either when Flying and also when representing the Club on "The Hill".

2. Ensure the SPHGPC meets governance requirements of Sporting Clubs and Associations which run on Wollongong City Council Sites as part of our Operational Agreement with them.

3. Provide a framework to assist the Committee in regards to to Safety or Pilot Discipline should it be required .Please read and make yourselves familiar with the 'Code of Conduct' accordingly.

Comp News
On the back of their USA Comp adventures of late 2015, congratulations goes to both Tony Armstrong and Josh Woods on their outstanding performances at the NSW State HG Titles recently held at Manilla with Tony being crowned NSW Title Holder (after placing 3rd to Lukas Bader and Harrison Rowntree who are not NSW residents). Josh was very close behind in 2nd Overall!. Another notable performance in the PG discipline was by Eddie Kumsuz who achieved severl long flights including a 210km straightline distance flying his Enzo 2, again flying from Manilla to close to the Qld Border. Well done to all.

Ongoing Top Landing Closure
At the time of writing, all Pilots are reminded that the South Top Landing area continues to be closed in its entirety due to Temporary works by WCC. The Committee continues to urge the WCC to ensure that this work is completed as soon as possible to limit the disruption that its closure represents.  As soon as full access is granted back to the Club, you will be advised by Email and Facebook posts. Until then please follow the Council's request in this regard. Note - The East Face Launch and Top Landing area continues to be fully open as per Site Procedures and as weather conditions allow.

 Safety Notice - Water Landings/SLSC

During a meeting with the Stanwell Park SLSC in early March, they have advised that '000" should be called immediately in the unfortunate event of a Water Landing occuring. This is instead of the Surfclub's landline phone number as it may not be attended at the time.  This is as the "000" dispatch is linked in with the Surf Life Saving network who will raise them direct aswell as dispatching other Emergency Agencies should it be required.

Newsflash

All pilots note: The launch sites near to the pie shop in the National Park are reserved for aero-model flyers and are OFF LIMITS for all SPHGPC pilots. Also please give these areas a wide berth when flying past.
