A recent tragic fatal incident highlights the need for caution when performing extreme manoeuvres in the vicinity of other aircraft.

Pilots are urged to only perform such manoeuvres well away from other traffic, launch and landing areas, and the public. Once having gained sufficient height, pilots should proceed to an area over the water and well away from the lift band and other pilots.

The HGFA Operations Manager has advised the club that Powered Paraglider operations are PROHIBITED at the Stanwell Park site and fall outside the exemption granted to operate in close proximity to a road.

Pilots will please ensure they adhere to this directive and we will advise of any further developments as they occur.
