Members of the Stanwell Park Hang Gliding & Paragliding Club enjoy the privileges of flying one of the world's great coastal sites. Access to the take-off and landing areas is granted by Wollongong Council on the basis that all pilots are members of the club. Memberships is also required to provide additional cover that the council require for flying here ($20 million). Please support the club my becoming a member and observing the local regulations so that the site can be retained for all pilots in the future.

The HGFA Operations Manager has advised the club that Powered Paraglider operations are PROHIBITED at the Stanwell Park site and fall outside the exemption granted to operate in close proximity to a road.

Pilots will please ensure they adhere to this directive and we will advise of any further developments as they occur.
